| A hinged instrument panel makes for easy access
to the aircraft's
instruments, and a large number of convenient access panels
located throughout the
aircraft are all evidence that the Gavilan 358 was designed with
ease of maintenance in
mind. |
 |
 |
| The engine cowling is
split into three parts so
that engine accessories can be reached just by removing the
upper rear cowling. No special
tooling is required to service the Gavilan 358, which is backed
by a two year spinner to
tail warranty. |
| The Gavilan 358 has been certified by the
Federal Aviation Administration
to Part 23, amendment 46. There is no aircraft in its class that
even comes near this
standard. Crew seats have been tested to over 20g, at 60º from
the vertical plane, and
26g horizontally. |
 |
 |
Fail safe structures, redundancy in
trim systems and non
siphoning fuel caps are just a few of the features that set the
358 apart from its
competitors which were certified to the old regulations
contained in the now obsolete CAR3
regulations
